    Foti Landscape is seeking a motivated individual to assist in landscape construction sales. Foti Landscape is based out of Lexington since 1977 and our shop is in Billerica, MA. We are a small company with 10 to 12 employees focused on high quality workmanship vs. high volume.

    We were a tree care company for 39 years, but have transitioned into a landscape construction company over the past 10 years. Although we do not focus on tree care, we would like to have a salesperson that is capable of selling ornamental pruning and showing some interest in developing an IPM program.

    Job description as follows:

    • Design build sales and follow up with clients
    • Do takeoff on architect designed plans
    • Prepare proposals, contracts and design presentations
    • Job scheduling
    • Work with the crew on implementation of designs
    • Locate and tag plant material, schedule deliveries
    • Assist in organizing and pricing inground and above ground inventory
    • Assist in marketing and sales promotion through social media, etc.

    Qualifications:

    Horticultural Plant Buyer   

    The Horticultural Plant Buyer and Gardener is a full-time, in person, year-round position comprised of two critical functions to the success of our company: Plant Procurement and Fine Gardener.  The position is fast paced requiring excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail and the ability work on multiple projects at once.

    Responsibilities

    ·         Product procurement:

    ·         Source, procure and deliver tree, shrub, ground-cover, ornamental grass, perennial and annual plants, seasonal displays (i.e. pumpkins, gords, etc.) and holiday decorations (i.e., trees, garland, wreaths, organics, ribbon, etc.)

    ·         Tag plant materials and organize materials by client/jobsite so that field managers can easily access

    ·         Maintain accurate records for invoicing products

    ·         Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing and new vendors: nurseries, garden centers, growers and online providers 

    ·         Attend tradeshows, industry association meetings

    ·         Research gardening trends, elements, décor and propose for client’s garden

    • Fine Gardener:

    ·         Assist Field Manager with instructing and directing gardeners

    ·         Opens garden and prepares garden for growing season

    ·         Prunes, transplants, dead-heads, weeds, rakes, mulches and performs other tasks as assigned

    Responsibilities Time Allotment:

    Experienced required for this position:

    • 2 – 3 prior experience of industry vendors and gardening experience
    • Plant Identification and maintenance knowledge a must.   Industry certificate a plus
    • Massachusetts Driver’s license and excellent driving history with comfort driving and parking in Boston
    • Ability to drive dump truck and cargo vans
    • DOT medical card

    Bookkeeper / Office Manager

    The Office Manager is a full-time, in-office position supporting staff in day-to-day operations, as well as maintaining strong financial systems and reporting structures for the business.   The Office Manager is a confidential employee who is an active participate in the management team regularly involved in discussion with management about budgets and employees.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain day-to-day financial operations with functional responsibility for accounts payable, account receivables and payroll
