At Land Design Associates, we are a leading provider of landscape management services dedicated to creating beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces for our clients. Our team prides itself on providing excellent service and maintaining the highest standards in all our landscaping projects. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Fertilizer Technician to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As a Fertilizer Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the health and vibrancy of lawns and landscapes by applying fertilizers and other soil amendments. You will work closely with our landscaping team to maintain high-quality turf and plant growth for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to lawns, plants, and landscapes in accordance with state, company guidelines and safety regulations.
  • Inspect and evaluate soil and plant conditions to determine the appropriate application methods.
  • Safely handle and mix chemicals according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records of applications.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering any client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Operate and maintain application equipment and vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations during application processes.
  • Assist with other landscaping tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or fertilizer application is preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow labels and instructions for pesticide and fertilizer products.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of turf and plant care practices, soil types, and fertilization methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Certification in pesticide application or willingness to obtain (depending on state requirements).
