Landscaping By J Michael is a landscape & irrigation company providing services to both residential, commercial and public construction throughout Massachusetts.  We have over 35 years of experience in all aspects of the industry.

We are looking for career minded Turf Maintenance professionals to join our service crews.  Must be familiar and operate various type of mowing equipment such as walk behind, stand on, seated turf equipment.  In addition, know how to run and operate string trimmers, blowers, power edgers, electric and gas shears, etc.  Must be comfortable working independently when required, trustworthy, and good work habits.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Apply general and accepted practices for grass mowing, pruning, fertilizing disease/fungus control and maintenance of residential and commercial properties.
• To work and oversee up to 2 crew members.
• Responsible for paper work, documentation, photographs, client recommendations and scheduling site visits.
• Perform estimates and sales to clients.
• Assist in Landscape Department as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ year experience in landscape maintenance and horticulture or related field. 
• Skilled in proper turf maintenance, pruning techniques and general garden bed maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of grass types, weed analysis, insect and disease.
• Proper use of both organic and chemical treatment for weed, insect/disease  control.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire.
• Pesticide and/or MCLP licenses a plus
• CDL B license preferred

Job Type:  Full Time Seasonal

Wage:  Commensurate with experience and references

Hours/Schedule:  Monday through Friday:  7:00am – 4:30pm;  Saturday’s may be required during the busy seasons.
