SEASONAL COLOR SPECIALIST:

Seasonal Color Specialist Role:

This non-exempt position helps the company accomplish its goals by performing various tasks related to and involving the installation and maintenance of seasonal color and holiday décor. The Seasonal Color Specialist will be responsible for the design, procurement, installation and maintenance of in-ground, container and holiday décor displays at commercial properties.

Essential Function Examples:

1. Performs seasonal color related functions (e.g planning, designing, procuring, planting, irrigation, fertilizing), use of hand tools (e.g. rake, shovel, trowel, ladder), powered equipment (e.g. drills), vehicle, equipment (e.g. water tank), and trailer operation proficiently and safely.

2. Clearly communicates with team members, account managers, and interfaces with clients when necessary to ensure expectations are met.

3. Plans and organizes tasks for team members on job sites and completes within labor goals without sacrificing quality.

4. Has the horticultural knowledge and creativity to design and install stunning in-ground and/or container seasonal plantings. (e.g. annuals, perennials, cut greens, shrubs, grasses).

5. Demonstrates an independent understanding of planting and routine maintenance procedures (e.g. cleaning, weeding, planting, watering, and plant knowledge).

6. Can perform proper selection, layout, adjustments, identification, inventory management, and care of plant material.

7. Provides operational guidance, training, and coaching to Team Members.

8. Is prepared and organized with tools, supplies and equipment needed to perform work.

9. Maintains tools, equipment, vehicle, and trailer in good operating condition.

10. Completes administrative duties in Aspire software (e.g. clocking in-out team members, starts and stops proper work tickets, inputs actual materials, punch lists, creates issues).

11. Performs winter services (e.g. snow clearing, snow plowing, shoveling, salting) as needed.

12. Role model for PPE usage and safety policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements:

1. At least (2) years plus of professional landscape, seasonal color, design, and installation management experience similar to that described above.

2. Must possess a strong skill set including performing essential landscape functions, horticulture knowledge, creativity and detail oriented similar to that described above.

3. Is a great communicator, trainer, and manager to team members.

4. Self-driven to develop personal knowledge to grow and improve skills and expertise.

5. A valid Class D driver’s license is required of this job classification.
